B. General Information

I. Scope and Processing of Personal Data

We collect and use personal data of our users only to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services. If this is not the case, personal data is generally processed only with the user’s consent. Exceptions apply in cases where obtaining prior consent is not practically possible, and the processing is permitted by statutory regulations.

II. Legal Basis for Processing

  • Consent: Article 6(1)(a) GDPR serves as the legal basis when we obtain the data subject’s consent for processing.

  • Contractual Obligations: Article 6(1)(b) GDPR applies when processing is necessary to fulfill a contract to which the data subject is a party or for pre-contractual measures.

  • Legal Obligations: Article 6(1)(c) GDPR applies for processing required to fulfill a legal obligation.

  • Vital Interests: Article 6(1)(d) GDPR applies when processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another individual.

  • Legitimate Interests: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR applies when processing is necessary to safeguard our legitimate business interests or those of a third party, provided such interests are not overridden by the data subject’s rights and freedoms. Our legitimate interest lies in conducting our business activities.

III. Routine Deletion and Blocking of Personal Data

We process and store personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the intended purpose. Data may also be retained if required by European or national legislators in applicable laws or regulations. Once the purpose of storage ceases to exist, or the legally prescribed storage period expires, the personal data is routinely blocked or deleted.

IV. Data Security

During website visits, we use the widely adopted SSL (Secure Socket Layer) protocol in conjunction with the highest encryption level supported by your browser, typically 256-bit encryption. If 256-bit encryption is unavailable, we use 128-bit v3 technology. You can identify encrypted pages by the locked padlock or key symbol in your browser’s status bar.

We also implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction, or unauthorized access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously improved in line with technological developments.

C. Usage Data

I. Log Files

1. Description and Scope of Data Collection

Each time the website is accessed, data and information are automatically collected by our system or the hosting provider and stored in server log files.

The following data may be collected:

  • Information about the browser type and version used

  • The operating system of the user

  • The user’s internet service provider

  • The user’s IP address

  • Date and time of access

  • Websites from which the user’s system accessed our website (referrer)

  • Websites accessed by the user’s system through our website

2. Legal Basis for Data Processing

The legal basis for the temporary storage of log files is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest derives from the purposes of data collection listed below. In no case do we use the collected data to draw conclusions about your identity.

3. Purpose of Data Processing

The temporary storage of the IP address is necessary to deliver the website to the user's device. For this purpose, the user's IP address must be stored for the duration of the session.

Log files are processed and stored to:

  • Ensure the functionality of the website,

  • Optimize our website,

  • Guarantee a user-friendly experience,

  • Ensure the security of our IT systems.

Data is not evaluated for marketing purposes in this context.

These purposes also constitute our legitimate interest in data processing under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Storage Period

Data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purposes for which it was collected. For data collected to provide the website, this is typically at the end of the session.

For log file storage, data is deleted after a maximum of seven days. Extended storage may be necessary in some cases, in which case IP addresses are anonymized to prevent any identification of the accessing client.

5. Objection and Removal Option

The collection of data to provide the website and the storage of data in log files are essential for the website's operation. Therefore, the user cannot object to this processing.

II. Use of Cookies

We use cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files stored in your browser’s temporary memory during a browsing session (session cookies) or on your hard drive for a specified duration (persistent cookies). Cookies enable the recognition of your browser, allowing tailored content to be displayed faster and more efficiently during future visits to our website.

Technically Necessary Cookies

We use technically necessary cookies to fulfill our legitimate interest in providing a user-friendly and customized website. These cookies do not store personal data.

Consent for Non-Essential Cookies

If we intend to use cookies for marketing, tracking, or analytics, your explicit prior consent is required. This consent is requested through a cookie banner displayed when you first visit the website, which informs you about our cookie policy and allows you to accept or decline all or specific types of cookies.

If you consent, the legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can also modify your cookie settings or withdraw consent at any time through the following link:

Adjust Cookie Settings

We use the MODX Content Management System (CMS), which sets session cookies to enhance your experience on our site and allow us to identify pages you have already visited. These cookies are automatically deleted when you leave our website.

The data processed by essential cookies is necessary to protect our legitimate interests and those of third parties in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Cookies from Third-Party Services

Our website also uses cookies from Google Analytics, Google AdWords Conversion Tracking, Facebook, reCAPTCHA, and Google Maps. For more information, refer to the respective sections of this policy.

How to Prevent Cookie Storage

You can configure your browser to accept cookies only if you consent. Existing cookies can also be deleted. However, disabling cookies may limit the functionality of our website. Instructions for disabling cookies are available under the following https://www.wikihow.com/wikiHowTo?search=How+to+Prevent+Cookie+Storage%C2%A0&Search=.

III. Use of Google Analytics

This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc. (hereafter referred to as "Google"). Google (Universal) Analytics also uses cookies.

The use of Google (Universal) Analytics requires your explicit consent. At the start of your session, you will have the option to grant or deny your consent via the cookie banner, where you can also learn about our company’s data protection policies.

If you provide your consent, the legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent at any time without providing a reason. To do so, send an email to: contact@advice-consulting.de. Additional contact information is available in the Imprint.

The information generated by the cookie regarding your use of the website is usually transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the United States. On our website, we use IP anonymization, which shortens your IP address within EU member states or in other states that are party to the European Economic Area Agreement before transmission.

Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the U.S. and shortened there. Google is committed to complying with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Agreement on the collection, use, and storage of personal data from EU member states and holds a corresponding Privacy Shield certificate.

You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings. Additionally, you can prevent Google from collecting and processing data generated by the cookie related to your use of the website by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at this link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/eula.html?hl=en.

We do not share information obtained via cookies with third parties.

For further details regarding Google Analytics’ terms of use and privacy practices, visit:

.

IV. Use of Adwords Conversion Tracking

To statistically evaluate the use of our website and optimize it, we also use Google Conversion Tracking. When you access our website via a Google advertisement, Google AdWords places a cookie on your device (see Section II). These cookies expire after 30 days and do not enable personal identification.

If you visit one of our pages while the cookie is still valid, Google and we can identify that you clicked the ad and were redirected to this page.

Each AdWords customer receives a unique cookie, meaning cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords customers’ websites. The information obtained via the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. We learn the total number of users who clicked on our ad and were redirected to a page tagged with a conversion tracking code. However, we do not receive information that personally identifies you.

The use of Google Conversion Tracking requires your explicit consent. At the start of your session, you can provide or deny this consent via the cookie banner, where you can also learn about our data protection policies.

If you provide your consent, the legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent at any time without providing a reason. To do so, send an email to: contact@advice-consulting.de. Additional contact information is available in the Imprint.

V. Use of reCAPTCHA

This website uses Google’s reCAPTCHA service to ensure that inquiries submitted via contact forms are made by real people and not by bots. This also ensures sufficient data security during the transmission of forms.

By visiting our website, Google receives the information that you accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. This occurs regardless of whether you have a Google account and are logged in or not. These data are transmitted to Google and stored as user profiles, which Google may use for advertising, market research, or tailored website design. This evaluation includes data from non-logged-in users to deliver tailored advertisements and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website.

You have the right to object to the creation of such user profiles, which you must exercise directly with Google.

The use of reCAPTCHA requires your explicit consent. At the start of your session, you can provide or deny consent via the cookie banner, where you can also learn about our data protection policies.

If you provide your consent, the legal basis for processing personal data is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR.

You can withdraw your consent at any time without providing a reason. To do so, send an email to: contact@advice-consulting.de. Additional contact information is available in the Imprint.

For further information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by the plugin provider, please refer to their privacy policies.

These also contain further details about your rights and configuration options to protect your privacy:
https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en. Google also processes your personal data in the United States and is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield:

https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework.

VI. Integration of Google Maps

We use the Google Maps service on this website. This allows us to display interactive maps directly on the site and enables you to conveniently use the map functions.

By visiting the website, Google receives the information that you have accessed the corresponding subpage of our website. Additionally, the data mentioned under § 3 of this statement is transmitted. This occurs regardless of whether Google provides a user account through which you are logged in or whether no user account exists. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be directly associated with your account. If you do not wish to be associated with your profile on Google, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data as user profiles and uses it for advertising, market research, and/or the tailored design of its website. Such evaluations are carried out particularly (even for non-logged-in users) to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, but you must contact Google to exercise this right.

The use of Google Maps requires your explicit consent. At the beginning of the usage process, you have the opportunity to refuse or grant your consent via the cookie banner and to inform yourself about our company's privacy policy.

If you grant us your consent, the legal basis for the processing of personal data is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

You can revoke your consent at any time without providing reasons. For this, you can, for example, send an email to: contact@advice-consulting.de. Additional contact details to address your revocation can be found in the imprint.

Further information about the purpose and scope of data collection and its processing by the plug-in provider can be found in the provider's privacy policy. There, you will also find further information about your rights and settings to protect your privacy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en (https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en).

Google also processes your personal data in the USA and has subjected itself to the EU-US Privacy Shield: (https://www.privacyshield.gov/EU-US-Framework).

VI. Use of Social Media Plug-ins

We currently use a social media plug-in from Facebook. We employ the so-called two-click solution. This means that when you visit our site, no personal data is initially passed on to Facebook. You can recognize Facebook by the markings on the box, the initial letter, or the logo. We offer you the opportunity to communicate directly with Facebook via the button. Only when you click on the marked field and thereby activate it does Facebook receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding page of our online offering.

According to Facebook, IP addresses in Germany are anonymized immediately after being collected. By activating the plug-in, personal data about you is transmitted to Facebook and stored there (in the USA). Since Facebook collects data particularly via cookies, we recommend deleting all cookies through your browser's security settings before clicking on the grayed-out box.

We have no influence over the data collected or the data processing operations, nor are we fully aware of the scope of data collection, the purposes of processing, or the storage periods. We also lack information about the deletion of data collected by the plug-in provider.

The plug-in provider stores the data collected about you as usage profiles and uses them for advertising, market research, and/or demand-oriented website design. Such evaluations are carried out particularly (even for non-logged-in users) to provide demand-oriented advertising and to inform other users of the social network about your activities on our website. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, but you must contact Facebook to exercise this right. Through the plug-ins, we offer you the opportunity to interact with us and other users via Facebook, enabling us to improve our offering and make it more interesting for you as a user. The legal basis for the use of the plug-ins is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Data transfer occurs regardless of whether you have an account with Facebook and are logged in. If you are logged in to Facebook, the data we collect is directly associated with your Facebook account. If you activate the button and, for example, link the page, Facebook will also store this information in your user account and publicly share it with your contacts. We recommend logging out regularly after using a social network, especially before activating the button, to avoid being associated with your profile by the plug-in provider.

Further information about the purpose and scope of data collection and processing by Facebook can be found in the privacy policy provided below. There, you will also find further information about your rights and settings to protect your privacy.
