Lead QA – Shape Reliability in a Global SaaS Environment

A fast-growing B2B SaaS company is looking for an experienced hands-on QA Lead to take ownership of platform quality across a growing suite of digital products. This is a strategic role at the intersection of quality engineering, team leadership, and platform stability.

You’ll lead a QA team focused on test automation, process optimization, and software reliability — helping us deliver high-performance, secure, and user-friendly enterprise solutions used by clients across industries.

What You'll Do

• Lead and grow an international QA team focused on backend and frontend test automation

• Build and maintain automated test suites for complex applications (Java, JUnit, Playwright, etc.)

• Define and enforce testing standards, quality gates, and release procedures

• Partner closely with developers, product owners and DevOps to ensure early issue detection and smooth delivery

• Drive test planning, risk assessments and quality strategies in an agile environment

• Review technical documentation for clarity and usability; ensure user-facing documentation meets quality standards

• Own the release documentation process and maintain clear product change logs

• Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the QA function

What You Bring

• Proven experience in test automation for both backend (Java/JUnit) and frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, Playwright or similar)

• Strong understanding of modern QA practices, agile software development and CI/CD pipelines

• Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test cases, and detailed release documentation

• Familiarity with Git and agile collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence)

• High attention to detail and strong sense of ownership over product quality

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead and mentor QA engineers

• Previous leadership experience is a plus, but hands-on mentality and initiative matter most
